Welcome to Courchevel

Courchevel is a world class ski resort and part of the famous Three Valleys ski domain. Top skiers from around the world flock here to experience one of the top ski areas in Europe!

THE AREA

Before it's development as a ski resort, Courchevel was a collection of small hamlets and sheep farmers. In 1942 the French Commission of Tourism expressed an interest in creating a super ski resort in the area. Today, you have access to 600km of pistes! This ski area is popular for a few reasons, it offers wonderful, wide and gentle pistes that are spotlessly groomed. Most run through the pretty forests and the north facing aspect means the snow quality is excellent.  Everything about Courchevel is top notch, from the perfect slope and state-of-the-art lifts, to the seven Michelin starred restaurants and stylish boutiques.

CUISINE

The rumour is the higher the altitude of a restaurant, the higher the bill. Courcheval drowns in restaurants with Michelin stars, seven at the last count. There are good restaurants lower down the mountain as well. At Courchevel Le Praz (aka 1300) La Cave des Lys, an atmospheric, vaulted wine bar serving tasty tapas-style snacks, and the main lift base at Courchevel Moriond (1650) also has some affordable options.

NIGHTCLUBS AND BARS

The nightlife in Courchevel is a fundamental element for anyone and everyone who come to enjoy the skiing. A wide range of disco bars, bars and nightclubs will be available for you every night until dawn. Many clubs organize events, concerts and activities with international musicians and celebrities.
