The area became part of the canton of Vaud in 1798, a canton that hosts known cities such as Montreux, Vevey and the Olympic Capital, Lausanne. The territory of the municipality is located in a mountainous forested region along the banks of the Sarine river. The apartment is within walking distance of the train station and local village.
