This Palace has an exciting and colourful history as one of Scotland’s most important stately homes. Fifteen hundred years ago it was the capital of the Picts. In the intervening centuries, it has been the seat of parliaments and the crowning place of the Kings of Scots, including Macbeth and Robert The Bruce.

Poised above the River Tay in Perthshire, Palace overlooks the routes north to the Highlands and east through Strathmore to the coast. A guided tour of the Palace will be included as part of your evening if you wish it. Dinner may be served in the State Dining Room around the table made for Queen Victoria’s visit. A memorable Gala dinner to conclude your unique experience staying at Palace.

Stay with us at Palace in 5-star luxury accommodation and enjoy a unique and memorable experience. Recently open to the market for exclusive use the Private Wing of \ Palace combines The West Passage and The Balvaird Wing. Each Room has been individually styled and reflects the traditions and stature of the Palace. They all look out over the Park and have views of the Tay.

Offering 7 bedrooms (a mixture of double and twins) each with their own allocated bathroom are on offer when taking entire exclusive use of Palace accommodation wings. The Balvaird Wing also has a further sitting room.

Not only is the exterior stunning for our guests at Palace, but the grounds and gardens are also an experience and retreat in themselves. Residents have their own private gardens at then when the gates are closed to day visitors the entire Estate is exclusively yours in which to enjoy!

Activities: For groups residing at Palace the team can arrange an array of activities. We are delighted to have teamed up with external professional and approved suppliers to bring you the offering of excellent teambuilding and activity experiences be it for half day or full day events. Tailor made and memorable events from clan games to hands on fun with archery and falconry we look forward to creating your fun experience at Scone. Enjoy our fishing experience at Scone Palace fishing on our very own beat on the River Tay. Please ask for details on our Fishing Experience weeks if of interest. With over 100 acres of historic Parklands we also offer some wonderful garden tours with our Head Gardener.
