This is a unique and enchanting location with fine sand. The unusual rock formation there resembles a lunar landscape. Close to Nausa on the north coast are the beaches with the quaint names of ‘large and little piperi’. Also there is the beach of Lymnes, the beaches of Santa Maria, Xifari, Lageri and, a little further to the south, is the beautiful beach of Ampelas.

SPORTS & ACTIVITIES

Sun-drenched beaches, like Chrissi Akti, Santa Maria and Pounda, welcome happy visitors who want to enjoy the crystal-clear sea, the sun or even their favorite water sports. Every year the Windsurfing World Championship is held in Chrissi Akti. On the seabed of Alyki beach, you can dive down to explore the ruins of an ancient town. You can also experience an exhilarating tour all around the coast of the island by canoe or kayak. Take a walk along the “strates”, the trails created by farmers to help them cross the island and transport their goods. It’s like stepping into history. AIRPORTS

Paros National Airport is 11km south of Paros town. Athens to Paros is a 35 minutes direct flight. Athens Airport, Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport, is located 33km southeast of the city centre, approximatly 30 minutes to an hour by taxi. The airport offers 24/7 train and bus services to Athens and beyond.
