Always Natural

Welcome to Maldives

Where sands are white as the smiles of the locals, where fish swim happily in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, where the weather is a dream, and the deep rays of the sun wait to engulf you in their arms. Unrivaled luxury, stunning white-sand beaches, and an amazing underwater world make the Maldives an obvious choice for a true holiday of a lifetime.

The Republic of the Maldives is a sovereign archipelagic nation positioned in the Indian Ocean. Notably, the South Asian island nation has no counterpart in the entire world in terms of its unique geography and topography. The Maldives, the sunny side of life is blessed with magical and breathtaking displays of sunshine for the better part of a year. Similar to tropical countries, the Maldives enjoys a dry and wet season. Conveniently, the hot and humid weather is complemented with cooling sea breezes and periodic rain.

One of the greatest pleasures in the Maldives, after the sunbathing and snorkeling, is eating. The best way to sample Maldivian cuisine is to drop into one of the many cafés in Male’ or in the teashops on inhabited islands which are patronized by Maldivians having a “short eat” (small snack) known as “hedhikaa.” Many of the short eats are based on the samosa principle of fried pastry of different textures wrapped in various shapes around a filling, usually spicy and, this being the Maldives, fishy. Maldivians enjoy fish, usually tuna, for virtually every meal of the day. Combined with onions, chilies, coconut, lime juice and rice, fish forms the basic diet.

In the Maldives, a spa has become much more than its conventional meaning of a commercial establishment offering health and beauty treatments. Resort spas not only match the luxurious standard of the resort’s accommodation, but they also go beyond it in design and location.

It is estimated that nearly half the guests on holiday in the Maldives arrive with the intention of snorkeling or diving or, as soon as they see the crystal clear waters of an island’s lagoon and the colorful fish and corals, can’t resist giving it a try.
