SKI

If you prefer your skiing at a more sedate pace, Gstaad has some of the best cross-country skiing facilities in Switzerland. With both skating and traditional tracks meandering through the breathtaking mountain landscape, there is something for all abilities.

WINTER EVENTS

Over the Christmas period, Gstaad hosts a Christmas market with festively decorated chalets selling local produce. Enjoy a glass of gluhwein as you soak up the Christmas atmosphere.

SUMMER EVENTS

The summer months in Gstaad and the surrounding villages are packed with events. Three that stand out for their prestige and entertainment are the Swatch Beach Volleyball Major Series, the J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open Gstaad, and the Hublot Polo Gold Cup.

For six days in early July, the best volleyball teams in the world congregate in Gstaad to take part in the Swatch Beach Volleyball Major Series bringing the beach to the mountains.

An ATP clay court tournament attracting the world’s elite of tennis from across the globe, the J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open in July is one not to be missed.

The Hublot Polo Gold Cup has all the glamour you would hope for from such an event. With the world’s top ranked players taking to the field for the sought after world ranking points.

Travel to Gstaad

AIRPORTS

Gstaad can be reached from a number of nearby airports including Zurich, Geneva, Bern, and Saanen. Bern is just 1 hour away by car and two hours by rail and has connected flights from London City airport. Geneva and Zurich are both similar distances away and can be reached in approximately two hours by train or by car.

RAIL

Gstaad has a good network of rail links to all the airports with a picturesque journey taking about two hours. Contact our team to discuss the options that would be best suited to you.

TRANSFERS

We can arrange for a mini bus, taxi, or chauffeur-driven service from your chosen airport to your Gstaad luxury chalet rental. Alternatively, there are private Geneva airport transfers available including the Happybus from Geneva and Shuttle direct from Zurich.

SELF-DRIVING

Most of our properties in Gstaad offer off-road parking and otherwise we can make arrangements for your vehicle to be safely stored while you enjoy your stay.
